Call for Applications: Israel Studies Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of California (2027–2029)
The Younes & Soraya Nazarian Center for Israel Studies at the University of California (UCLA) in Los Angeles invites applications for the 2027–2029 Israel Studies Postdoctoral Fellowship. This two-year fellowship supports outstanding early-career scholars whose research contributes to the study of modern Israel.
During the fellowship, the successful candidate will conduct original research, teach one undergraduate course per academic year, present an annual public lecture, and actively participate in the Nazarian Center’s research seminars and public programs.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a PhD from an accredited university by the start of the fellowship;
- Applicants of all nationalities are eligible;
- Candidates holding permanent full-time tenure-track academic positions are not eligible.
Application Materials:
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Research abstract (up to 150 words);
- Proposed research project title;
- Research proposal (up to 1,500 words);
- Two letters of recommendation;
- Three proposed undergraduate course titles with brief descriptions.

Visiting Scholars Programme at Center for Research and International Relations, LUMSA University
As part of its internationalization initiatives, LUMSA University (Rome) supports an international mobility program funded through University resources to foster scientific cooperation between LUMSA and universities and research centers abroad. The programme supports short-term mobility for Italian and international professors, researchers, and postdoctoral researchers, providing an opportunity to strengthen academic collaboration and develop international research partnerships.
The program aims to:
