Support Services

Your wellbeing is important to us. The University of Haifa offers diverse support services to help you physically, technically, and emotionally during your stay in Israel. Here’s how we can help: 

Computer Facilities  
There are a number of free computer labs with Internet connections in the dormitory facilities. The main lab is on the 6th floor of Federman, and it is open between 10:00 – 01:00 (1 am) every day, except Fridays. The labs reopen Saturday evening at 17:00. There are also smaller labs in each Talia building which are open between 17:00 – 01:00 (1 am) every evening, except Fridays. In Talia buildings 700-800, the labs are open between 10:00 – 01:00 (1 am) every day, except Fridays. The labs reopen Saturday evening at 17:00. During the daytime hours, numerous computer labs are open around campus. Wireless access is available around campus, see below. 
 

Wireless Internet 

Wireless internet connection is available at the following locations around campus: 

  • Main Building: 600 floor – classes and corridors 
  • 700 floor – the library and the Hecht Museum. 
  • Education Building: Rooms 362, 363 and 466. 
  • Rabin Building: Caf’e Aroma 
  • Multi Purpose Building: Sfadia Auditorium and lobby 
  • Cafeterias and Restaurants: Education building, Elite Café, Aroma Café. 
  • Dorms: The Moadon area & Federman Lobby Dorm rooms 

 

Academon Campus Bookstore 

At our campus bookstore you will find books for both your academic courses and for pleasure, school supplies and appliances. 
The store is open Sundays -Thursdays 8:00- 17:00 and Fridays from 8:00 – 12:30. Phone number: 04-6706122 or 04-6706114 

The Interdisciplinary Clinical Center 

The Interdisciplinary Clinical Center provides physical and mental health diagnosis, treatment and prevention services. Its professional staff includes speech, occupational, art and movement therapists, clinical and educational psychologists, psychotherapists, group facilitators, social workers, physiotherapists and health and nutrition experts. 
The Center is in the Main Building, 2nd floor.

ATMs 

There are four ATM machines on campus, located at the entrance to the Terrace Building, at the dorms near the Mini Market, near AROMA Café, and at Bank Yahav at the shopping arcade/ bus stops outside the Main Building. 

Government Offices 

Government Offices are usually open in the mornings, Sunday through Thursday. Please call them in advance to confirm their office hours. 

Visa Renewal or Extension 

Israeli visa is required for most international visitors. The requirements vary based on your country of citizenship. 

Some countries are exempted from visas or ETA-IL (for example: USA, UK, Argentina etc). You can check the if you are required for visa or ETA-IL in here.
