Important Update for Overseas Travelers to Israel (Effective January 2025)
Starting January 2025, all overseas travelers must have a valid visa or ETA-IL approval before traveling to Israel.
Below are the key details you need to know:
- Visa Validity: Valid for two years or until passport expiry. A new application is needed for passport renewal or changes in name, gender, or nationality.
- Length of Stay: Up to 90 days per visit. Extensions require approval from the Population and Immigration Authority.
- Exemptions from ETA-IL:
- Holders of Israeli documents or visas (B1, B3, B4, A1–A5).
- Dual citizens of Israel, diplomats, aircrew members, and U.S. security personnel.
- Eligibility: Citizens of visa-exempt countries with a passport valid through their visit, staying for up to 90 days.
Note: ETA-IL approval permits travel to border crossings but does not guarantee entry. Border control officials make the final decision.
How to Apply:
Submit your ETA-IL application through our Visa Department using the dedicated form.
