The applications for the Ludovika Fellowship Program is now open!

The program invites internationally recognized foreign academics to spend 1 to 3 months at the Ludovika University of Public Service, where they will:

  • conduct research in their field,
  • deliver lectures in English (BA, MA, or PhD level),
  • and collaborate with faculty on research, teaching, and publication.

Fulbright Postdoctoral Call for Applications for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

Submission deadline: December 1, 2025.

The scholarship is intended for individuals who received their Ph.D. degree starting from August 2022, as well as for Ph.D. candidates who are nearing completion of their degree.

We are delighted to invite students and researchers to join the Lithuanian Language and Culture Winter Academy 2026, organized by the Center of Lithuanian Studies and Foreign Languages at Klaipėda University.

From January 5 to February 3, 2026, participants will have the opportunity to study online or in person in Klaipėda, combining academic learning with the experience of Lithuania’s seaside city.

PhD Programs for incoming students

The Idit Fellowship is a four-year multidisciplinary program at the University of Haifa aimed at advancing the next generation of social science researchers in Israel. The program is composed of a select group of PhD students at the Herta & Paul Amir Faculty of Social Sciences. The group acts as a cross-field community to enhance each participant’s personal research and professional development.  The goals of the program are to boost the level of training and research of program participants to a level comparable to leading international institutions with the aim that its members will successfully integrate into Israeli and international academies.

The Rothschild Fellowship for 2026–2027, offered by Yad Hanadiv, supports Israeli PhD holders (or those near completion) pursuing one year of postdoctoral research abroad. Applicants must be Israeli permanent residents who received their doctorate after November 2022 and plan to begin their fellowship between June 1, 2026, and December 1, 2027. The fellowship provides ₪210,000 plus relocation and family support. Applications are submitted through Israeli universities; candidates from the University of Haifa must send materials by September 1, 2025 to marazi@univ.haifa.ac.il. In-person interviews will be held in February 2026.

Call for Applications – Participation in the 17th HOPE Meeting, Tsukuba, Japan | March 2–6, 2026

The Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology invites applications from young Israeli researchers to participate in the 17th HOPE Meeting, to be held in Tsukuba, Japan, from March 2 to March 6, 2026. This prestigious annual meeting brings together promising young scientists from around the world with Nobel Laureates and other distinguished researchers.

6 candidates from Israel will be selected by the Ministry based on an internal evaluation and ranking process, in accordance with the criteria and requirements outlined in the attached documents. Consideration will also be given to the distribution of research fields to ensure representation across disciplines.

Eligibility:

  • PhD students or early-career researchers who earned their doctorate after April 2, 2020.

  • Fields of research: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology/Medicine.

Important:
While the organizers of the HOPE Meeting will cover accommodation, local transportation, meals, and travel insurance during the event, travel costs (e.g., flight tickets) will not be funded by the Ministry or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Applicants must secure and state their source of funding for these expenses in their application email.

Visiting Research Fellowships at Collegio Carlo Alberto – Applications Open!

The Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin, Italy, is inviting applications for its prestigious Visiting Research Fellowships program. This opportunity is open to scholars holding a Ph.D. in economics, sociology, political science, demography, law, or related disciplines. The fellowship duration ranges from one to twelve months, during which fellows are expected to reside in Turin, actively engage in research, and participate in the academic life of the Collegio through seminars, workshops, and collaborative discussions.

The application deadlines are:

  • October 31 (for fellowships starting from January of the following year, with decisions announced by the end of November).

Applications must include a CV, a 1-2 page research proposal outlining the planned activities during the stay, and the preferred dates of residence. The Collegio strongly encourages applications from female researchers to promote diversity in academia.
