The Ronald Coase Institute Workshop on Institutional Analysis, December 7-14, 2025

Early-career social scientists and advanced graduate students in economics, political science, law, and related fields are invited to apply for the competitive Ronald Coase Institute Workshop on Institutional Analysis, taking place December 7-14, 2025, in Perugia and Florence, Italy. Co-sponsored by the University of Perugia and Florence’s Accademia dei Georgofili, this intensive workshop offers 26 selected participants the unique opportunity to present their unpublished research in a focused setting, receiving in-depth feedback and mentoring from ten distinguished faculty members.

Exciting Opportunity: Full MBA Scholarship at Rice University for Israeli Veterans

A group in Houston has established a special Endowment fund to address antisemitism on U.S. campuses and strengthen ties between Houston and Israel. This initiative will provide a full scholarship for an MBA program at the prestigious Rice University to an Israeli military veteran.

The fund aims to surpass one million dollars, ensuring a full scholarship for at least one candidate annually, with the potential to expand in the future.

PhD Programs for incoming students

The Idit Fellowship is a four-year multidisciplinary program at the University of Haifa aimed at advancing the next generation of social science researchers in Israel. The program is composed of a select group of PhD students at the Herta & Paul Amir Faculty of Social Sciences. The group acts as a cross-field community to enhance each participant’s personal research and professional development.  The goals of the program are to boost the level of training and research of program participants to a level comparable to leading international institutions with the aim that its members will successfully integrate into Israeli and international academies.

ScienceAbroad is proud to launch its first-ever virtual Falling Walls Lab, offering Israeli postdoctoral fellows and early-career researchers around the world a unique opportunity to showcase their innovative research on a global stage.

The Falling Walls Lab is an international forum for the next generation of outstanding academics and professionals from all disciplines. Participants are challenged to present their research, business model, or social initiative in just 3 minutes, answering the central question: Which wall will your work break?

The ScienceAbroad Lab event will take place online on 30 June 2025. Finalists from this event will be invited to represent Israel at the global Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin during the Falling Walls Science Summit, one of the most prestigious international science events, attended by world-leading researchers, innovators, and decision-makers. This year’s summit will also mark 60 years of scientific relations between Israel and Germany, adding even greater significance to Israeli participation.

We strongly encourage Israeli postdocs and early-career researchers abroad to apply and take part in this influential platform. Participation not only highlights the excellence and innovation of Israeli science but also helps forge meaningful connections with the global academic and scientific community, including funding bodies like ERC, Minerva, GIF, and Marie Curie.

Visiting Research Fellowships at Collegio Carlo Alberto – Applications Open!

The Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin, Italy, is inviting applications for its prestigious Visiting Research Fellowships program. This opportunity is open to scholars holding a Ph.D. in economics, sociology, political science, demography, law, or related disciplines. The fellowship duration ranges from one to twelve months, during which fellows are expected to reside in Turin, actively engage in research, and participate in the academic life of the Collegio through seminars, workshops, and collaborative discussions.

The application deadlines are:

  • October 31 (for fellowships starting from January of the following year, with decisions announced by the end of November).
  • April 30 (for fellowships beginning in September, with decisions communicated by the end of May).

Applications must include a CV, a 1-2 page research proposal outlining the planned activities during the stay, and the preferred dates of residence. The Collegio strongly encourages applications from female researchers to promote diversity in academia.
