Bio:
Prof. Tiemeyer is a leading scholar in Biblical prophetic literature, with particular expertise in Isaiah and the Book of the Twelve. Her work on Isaiah, especially chapters 40-66, and detailed studies of Zechariah’s vision reports demonstrate her deep engagement with prophetic texts. She has published multiple books and articles examining the literary and theological aspects of these works.
Tiemeyer’s scholarship also encompasses historical books and cultic studies. Her work on Ezra-Nehemiah addresses questions of Jewish identity in the Persian period, while her research on priesthood and prophecy examines the intersection of cultic and prophetic roles in ancient Israel. She has published extensively on the relationship between priests and prophets, temple worship, and ritual practices.
