Honoring Memory Through Music: Opening of “Only the Violins Remain – Alma & Arnold Rosé”
On the occasion of Yom HaShoah VeHagevurah, we at the Division of Global Engagement, University of Haifa, were honored to take part in the opening of the House of Austrian History exhibition:
“Only the Violins Remain – Alma & Arnold Rosé”.
Hosted in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Austrian Cultural Forum, this moving event was held at the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Library. It highlighted the powerful story of two musicians Alma and Arnold Rosa, gifted violinists whose legacy and violins echo through history.
Special thanks to:
- Prof. Gur Alroey, President of the University.
- H.E. Nikolaus Lutterotti, Austrian Ambassador.
- Prof. Tally Katz-Gerro, Vice President for Division of Global Engagement.
- Prof. Oded Zehavi, Head of the Department of Music.
It was a moment of remembrance, resilience, and reflection, made all the more meaningful by music and shared history.
