Prof.\u00a0Shmulik\u00a0Nili<\/strong> is an internationally distinguished political theorist and leading voice in contemporary democratic theory, moral philosophy, and the study of political power. He is Professor of Political Science<\/strong> and (by courtesy) of Philosophy at Northwestern University, where his research integrates fundamental moral theory with social science to illuminate themes such as democratic integrity, corruption, political violence, collective agency, and the normative foundations of modern governance. His work is widely recognized for its conceptual rigor and its impact across political philosophy, democratic theory, and applied ethics.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Prof.\u00a0Shmulik\u00a0Nili is the author of several influential books, including\u00a0<\/span>The People\u2019s Duty<\/span><\/i>\u00a0(Cambridge University Press, 2019),\u00a0<\/span>Integrity, Personal and Political<\/span><\/i>\u00a0(Oxford University Press, 2020),\u00a0<\/span>Philosophizing the Indefensible<\/span><\/i>\u00a0(Oxford University Press, 2023), and\u00a0<\/span>Beyond the Law\u2019s Reach?<\/span><\/i>\u00a0(Oxford University Press, 2024), and his research has been published in top-tier journals such as\u00a0<\/span>Ethics<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>American Political Science Review<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>American Journal of Political Science<\/span><\/i>, and\u00a0<\/span>The Journal of Politics<\/span><\/i>.
