The UHaifa campus is well-connected by various modes of transportation, making your commute as effortless as possible. Here\u2019s how you can navigate around Haifa and beyond, ensuring you make the most of your time in our vibrant city. <\/span>\u201cRav Kav\u201d (Multi-Line) Card<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Riding public transportation (bus\/train\/Metronit\/Carmelit\/Rachbalit) requires a Rav Kav (Multi-Line) transportation card, which is used by pre-charging it with money in the station and then paying with it on the vehicle. Traveling with Rav-Kav allows you to transition from the bus or the Metronit to the Carmelit at no additional charge within 90 minutes.<\/span>\u00a0

Taxis available on campus include both private taxis and Sherut (shared) Taxis which travel from the University along the #37 and #141 bus routes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cRachbalit\u201d \u2013 Cable Car<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Launched in 2022, the \u201cRachbalit\u201d cable car connects UHaifa with the Technion and the Lev-Hamifratz central train\/bus station. Covering a total distance of 4.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 460 meters, and has become a major city tourist attraction and a\u00a0 fascinating means of public transportation for students. It is situated on campus next to the Haifa Gate entrance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cMetronit\u201d<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The \u201cMetronit\u201d is a bus rapid transit system in Haifa with routes in Haifa and the Krayot (suburbs). It has 3 Lines: 1(Red Line), 2 (Blue Line), 3 (Green Line). \u201cCarmelit\u201d<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Carmelit is an underground funicular railway. It moves from Carmel Center, through Hadar, to downtown Haifa.<\/span>\u00a0
