Research Conferences at the University of Haifa (2026\/27 Academic Year)<\/h3><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Division of Global Engagement invites University of Haifa faculty members to apply for funding to support international research and academic conferences hosted at the University during the 2026\/27 academic year.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Funding will be awarded to <strong>up to five conferences<\/strong>, with grants of <strong>up to NIS 25,000 per conference<\/strong>.<\/p><h3>Eligibility Criteria<\/h3><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">To be eligible, a conference must:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Take place at the University of Haifa;<\/li><li>Include <strong>at least two full days<\/strong> of academic activities;<\/li><li>Feature <strong>at least two internationally recognized speakers from abroad<\/strong>, who are faculty members at overseas universities or leading non-academic experts in their field;<\/li><li>Demonstrate a significant scientific contribution to advancing research in Israel and internationally.<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Priority will be given to conferences that:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Foster international collaborations leading to joint <strong>Horizon Europe<\/strong> grant proposals;<\/li><li>Have additional funding sources, including faculty or departmental matching funds.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Funding<\/h3><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The grant may be used <strong>only<\/strong> to cover:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Airfare for invited international speakers.<\/li><li>Hotel accommodation in Haifa.<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The funding applies to <strong>in-person or hybrid international conferences<\/strong>.
